Northland College is pleased to work with Men as Peacemakers, a nationally-recognized organization in Duluth, MN. Their work with Northland involves training all student leaders (residential life staff, outdoor orientation leaders, and first year experience leaders), all athletes, all first year students, and most staff and faculty. Men as Peacemakers facilitators provide students with sexual assault and domestic abuse awareness, bystander intervention training, and safe party training. For more information on Men as Peacemakers, visit their web site.
Northland also partners with TrainEd Solutions to offer an online video about understanding and preventing sexual violence. It contains information about gender-based misconduct including definitions, complaint and reporting procedures, as well as resources for survivors or those who believe they have been harmed by another.
