We are recruiting for up to three internships to learn the business of tax preparation. All interns will gain experience and training necessary to legally file taxes with the IRS. This position includes direct, hands-on experience in tax preparation, data entry, customer service, handling situations in the professional environment, and various office duties.
While this internship is for the winter semester, interns will need to complete about twenty hours of training before they can begin. This is online training which will be done in November and/or December. While this training is unpaid, during the winter semester all hours will be paid, including professional development and ongoing training.
Responsible to keep all information confidential
Can NOT owe in back taxes to the IRS or the State Revenue Department of any state
Study and pass all required learning materials with a score higher than 72%
Must be older than 18
Have a High School Diploma or GED
Some computer skills are needed
Accounting helps but is not mandatory
