Hermit Creek Farm is a 140 acre certified organic farm with twenty to twenty-five acres of vegetable and cover crop production located about twenty-miles south of Ashland, Wisconsin, near Lake Superior. We are well known for our high tunnel season extension, crispy carrots and nearly year-round CSA. We deliver both CSA and wholesale across the western Lake Superior region. Our CSA has been in successful operation for over twenty-five years making HCF among the first CSA’s in Wisconsin or Minnesota. Wholesale accounts include food cooperatives in Duluth and Ashland, small independent grocers, restaurants, and institutions including Northland College.

Full-time positions start in April or May and run into November (start and end times are negotiable).

Farm team members typically start at $10 to $12/hour (negotiable, dependent on experience) and can expect performance-based pay increases during the season. Note that employees also receive in-season weekly farm products (typically adds about $1/hour value to your pay).

On farm housing is not available. Many of our employees live in Ashland and if you are coming from out of the area, we can help connect you with potential house mates.

We strive as a farm to be inclusive, to create positive change, and to have fun while getting a lot of work done. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, we would like to talk to you.
