There is no longer a deadline to submit proposals for this mini-grant. If you have an idea you would like funded, we encourage you to apply.
Northland College is pleased to announce the launch of a new opportunity to invest in projects that have a particular focus on promoting student mental health and well-being, though projects with campus-wide benefits for students, staff, and faculty will also be considered. Mini-grants of up to $2,500 are available for “shovel ready” projects. Projects over $2,500 may be considered if additional funds are available.

The Endeavor Foundation provided funding for this opportunity through the Endeavor Lab Colleges (ELCs), a group of twelve small liberal arts colleges working together to build capacity in developing services to help students identify their mental health and wellness needs and enable them to access resources in ways that support and encourage them to assume agency for their well-being. The ELCs are committed to meeting students where they are and to supporting their socio-emotional development in the pursuit of academic success.
Apply for Funding
Students, staff, and faculty are invited to apply for a mini-grant by completing a simple online proposal form. Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis while funds are still available.
Submit Your Proposal
Funds must be spent by May 30, 2025, and decisions on applications will be made on a rolling basis.
Project Ideas
Do you have an idea for programming or a service or experience that you’ve always wanted to see become available to Northlanders? Is there a training course or certification that could help you and your team better serve students? Are you a student with an idea for improving your peers’ experiences at Northland? Is there a guest speaker you’d like to bring to campus? Creativity is welcome, and we invite and encourage you to submit a proposal!
Application Tip
Write your answers to the proposal questions in another application (such as a Word document), edit them, check word counts, and then paste them into the online form.
