Teach-out and Transfer Fair
Chapple Family Gymnasium, Kendrigan Center, 1411 Ellis Avenue, Ashland, United States

We know that determining what lies ahead may feel daunting—but we’re here to help. The closure of Northland College shouldn’t mean an end to your studies or progress toward a degree.
Over thirty colleges and universities will have representatives on campus to tell you about their institution, guide you through the enrollment process, share more about resources specifically available to Northlanders or transfer students more generally, and answer your questions. This is a great way to learn about what opportunities are out there and talk face to face with admissions representatives about what a future on their campus could look like for you.

Students will bring their A-game, hoping to show the staff and faculty that they’ve got what it takes to dominate the court.
Staff and faculty will come ready to defend their pride, and maybe school a few students in the process!
No matter who comes out on top, the goal is to have fun and bring the community together. So, come out, cheer loud, and let’s make this an unforgettable event.

Indigenous Cultures Center Student Lounge (114B Mead Hall)

For winter 2025, the weekly Northland Knit-together meetup will be held on Tuesdays over the lunch hour in the Indigenous Cultures Center lounge (114B Mead Hall).
This is an opportunity for interested employees to meet, eat, and craft. Just bring your lunch and supplies. Coffee and tea are available, and people are welcome to bring treats to share.
This event is for current Northland College faculty, staff, and contracted services employees only.

Who: Faculty, staff, and contracted services employees
What: Bring your knitting, crocheting, beading, needlework, or some type of handwork to work on
Where: Indigenous Cultures Center Student Lounge (114B Mead Hall)
When: Tuesdays 12–1 p.m.
Why: To provide an opportunity for staff and faculty to build community while…

making something for themselves or others (family, friends, or strangers)
learning a new skill or expanding on one
getting to know your colleagues

Supplies:

People should bring their supplies if they have them.
The ICC has a variety of straight and circular knitting needles, knitting looms, crochet hooks, and yarn for beginners who just want to get started.
If people have extra needles or yarn that they want to donate, you can bring them with you.
You can also purchase supplies online or at our local businesses such as the Craft Connection on Main Street.

Patterns/Projects:

Feel free to bring your favorite patterns to share.
The ICC has quite a few knitting, crocheting, and beading books/patterns you can look through.
We would love to see your completed projects, as well as those that are in process.
If you are new to knitting or crocheting, scarves or dishcloths are an easy choice to start with.

You are welcome to join anytime and attend whenever it fits into your schedule.
