What is Wilderness? is hosted by students in OED 328: Wilderness Writers & Philosophers. Students will participate in a formal debate on the resolution: Ecological integrity should be prioritized over aesthetic preservation when managing federally designated Wilderness areas.

Following the debate, professors Erik Olson, Kyle Bladow, Danny Frank, and Michele Small will deliver mini-lectures addressing their personal and professional wilderness philosophies.

The event is free and open to the public. Snacks will be provided!
