Ahoy! Raise the mainsail, hoist the jib, and your journey begins. Sail aboard the Abbey Road, navigating the crystal waters of Lake Superior. Take your turn at the helm, discover duties of the cabin, and learn sailboat anatomy including halyard, lifeline, keel, and transom.
Experience fantastic sea caves, hike the islands, frolic on sandy beaches and stargaze the vast night sky of the Apostle Islands. Develop sailing skills, enjoy campfires and camaraderie with your crew, practice camp cooking, and more.
These are rustic accommodations and there is potential for challenging weather conditions. There is no shower onboard and all hot water is heated on the stove. Although the Abbey Road is a spacious fifty-two footer, there is limited “personal space.” It is an open cabin layout and males and females have separate sleeping quarters. Temperatures on land may be in the 60s and 70s, however, temperatures on the water can dip into the low 40’s and 30’s due to the cold lake temperature. Proper clothing is required.
