Local mycology enthusiast, Sonia Horowitz, is a forager, textile artist, gardener, animal keeper, and mother. She specializes in fungi but is well versed in the plants and animals of home and forest. Another of Sonia’s passions is cultural history as she believes that there is much to learn from the past that can be applied not only to homesteading, but to our interactions with the land and with each other. This talk will bring together both information on Fungi and how humans have interacted with Fungi across cultures. This event is part of the NCSA Lecture Series.
