Students engaging in individual and personal travel are expected to use good judgment traveling to areas that are experiencing a high incidence of COVID-19. Students are expected to continue to follow COVID-safe practices in respecting social distancing, using face coverings, and following all public health guidelines. Please note that off-campus travel may be limited depending on community health. Follow all CDC guidelines for daily life and going out.
Travel Off Campus
Students are welcome to come and go from campus as needed. Residential students should limit, when possible, their travel off campus to essential errands (grocery shopping, medication pick-up, banking, etc.) or meeting essential needs (jobs, internships, medical needs, etc.) due to living in close proximity to others. Students are expected to continue to follow COVID-safe practices in respecting social distancing, using face coverings, and following health hygienic practices.
Travel Outside the Ashland Region
We ask that students limit personal travel outside of the Ashland region (around a 40-mile radius). If a student needs to travel outside of the Ashland region, they should submit a travel registration form.
Students can register their travel here. The Office of Student Affairs will review all travel requests with students. Please allow at least one week (5 business days) for processing.
Each request is reviewed by a committee, including Health Services, for potential risk exposure and necessity of travel.
