Keys

All outside entrances of residence halls are locked twenty-four hours a day. You are issued key(s) to access your assigned residential room, and an ID card to open the exterior entrance. Townhouse residents are issued ID card access only. College-owned houses are issued keys to the exterior door only. You are encouraged to lock your room door and/or house exterior door when you are not present. Also, when entering a building, do not let non-residents into the building (unless it is plain to see who they are visiting) or strangers into the building, as it compromises security.

Current students, contact Residential Life for any broken, lost, or IDs having issues. You do not need to stop by the ID office. If you are a new student, IDs will be created on your arrival day.

Costs
Each new ID printing is $20. Fees will be added to student bills; payment will not be accepted in person. Billing is done monthly.

An incident report is a documentation of a situation related to behavioral concerns, possible violations of student policies, or simply to provide information to the College. Any campus community member or campus visitor can report an incident by contacting Campus Safety at 715-682-1399 or by submitting the incident report form below.

Depending on the nature of the situation, individuals can also report situations of a sexual or gender-based misconduct nature to Title IX. There are confidential, informal, and formal reporting options.

Sexual Misconduct Reporting

This form can be used to report Northland policy violations or ethics concerns. If this is an emergency, if there is an immediate risk to the person of concern or to others, or if you believe a crime has occurred, please contact Campus Safety at 715-682-1399 or call 911.

All information provided in this form will remain confidential except for cases that require mandatory reporting or if otherwise specified by the reporter. Any Northland College student, faculty, staff, or visitor can submit a report.

You may also contact the Office of Human Resources to file a report directly or if you have further questions.

Please provide as much information as possible. Submissions may be made anonymously, but you are encouraged to provide an email address or phone number so that the College has the ability to respond and clarify any details of your concern.

Northland College uses e2Campus, a mass notification system that alerts you wherever you are. e2Campus enables Northland College to send important campus information to you via mobile phone, land line, PDA, or email. This Annual Safety and Security Report is compiled and prepared by the Risk Management Team in compliance with the Clery Act and in cooperation with the Ashland Police Department, Northland College Campus Safety Office, Title IX campus officials, the Risk and Crisis Management Working Group, the Division of Student Affairs, the Office of Residential Life, and various other campus departments. Crime, arrest, and disciplinary referral statistics are collected from the above groups. Crime statistics are reported to the US Department of Education, and the annual security report also discloses the total number of crime reports that were “unfounded” and subsequently withheld from its crime statistics.
