Honors Day is a long-standing tradition at Northland, held each year in April.
The main component of the day is the Research Showcase, where students present their culminating work and research findings through an academic poster and written abstract summary for visitors. Poster presentations have grown in popularity at professional conferences, and this is one of the best opportunities for students to gain marketable skills to better prepare them for careers and graduate school. Fellow students, faculty, staff, members of the community, researchers and alumni attend or can engage by viewing the work through a virtual component.
Additionally, recognition of exceptional students who have received faculty or department awards individually based on their outstanding academic merit are also highlighted.
