Grab a drink or snack at our morning Pop-up Cafe before the poster session.

Native American Museum Open House

12:00–12:55 p.m. • Indigenous Cultures Center (First Floor, Mead Hall)

Tour the exhibit, which includes cultural artifacts, artwork, and student-curated signage.

Welcome by President Barb Lundberg and Academic Dean Kevin Zak

1:00–1:30 p.m. • Dexter Library

A warm welcome to Honors Day from the president and academic dean. The student choir (directed by Christine Hulmer) will sing the Northland College Hymn before the Research Showcase begins. Immediately afterwards, student research presenters should report to their event locations.

Drop-in Professional Headshots

1:30–3:30 p.m. • Dexter Library

A photographer will be set-up to take free professional photos of students, faculty, and staff.

Research Showcase

1:30–3:30 p.m. • Dexter Library

All student researchers will be by their poster displays for the entirety of this event. They will be available to present to visitors who stop by, answer their questions, and discuss their research findings.

Art Exhibit

2–4 p.m. • Mary Van Evera Visual Art Center

2D and 3D artwork created by current students will be on display, and visitors are encouraged to walk around and view at their pleasure.

Outdoor Pursuits Technical Tree Climbing Demonstration

3:00–4:30 p.m. • Campus Mall (Weather permitting)

Outdoor Pursuits students will be harnessed up and scaling a cottonwood tree next to Wheeler Hall to show industry-relevant skills they’ve learned.

Fencing Club Demo

3:00–3:45 p.m. • Campus Mall

Stop by the campus mall for a fencing demonstration and experience the skill and excitement of the sport firsthand.

Gathering for S’mores by the Fire Ring

3:45–4:30 p.m. • Wheeler Fire Ring (Weather permitting)

End the day with s’mores and community at the Campus Fire Ring.
